Bring us a photo of an Edelweiss in the mountains and win shopping vouchers for ICARO paragliders and Fly & more!

Best of all after your top landing or after climb to the take off. Super-duper it would be if the hobby paragliding on the photo was to be seen. E.g. a piece of the wing or of the backpack or what comes to your mind.

Please do not pick the Edelweiss, it is protected!

We raffle shopping vouchers for ICARO paragliders and Fly & more to the value of 5x 100 EUR to the five best photos. The winner photos will be published on the ICARO website and the best photo will be used in the ICARO catalogue 2011 with the photographer's permission.

Of the fairness half no archive photos or stock photos should be used, but this is surely natural.

Tips for finding of Edelweiss

Period of bloom in the Alps is from July to September. You find the Edelweiss on stony meadows, rocks, but also Alpine meadows, above all in limestone surroundings at altitudes of 1,800 and 3,000 meters. How an Edelweiss looks, you can see on the right in the photo line.

Except in the Alps the Edelweiss is also found in the Pyrenees, the Balkans, Tibet, the Himalayas, Japan and Korea.

  • All people are eligible.
  • The number of digital and analogous entries is limited to 5 pictures per participant.
  • Only entries of the originator of the photo are valid. Archive or stock photos are not eligible.
  • The photo is to be stored as .jpg. The bigger the file is, the better, nevertheless, the file size should not exceed 10 MB.
  • The profits cannot redeemed in cash.
  • Legal recourse is excluded.
  • The sender / originator of the photo permits ICARO paragliders the free use of the photo for own advertising purposes, e.g. to the representation of the winner's photos on www.icaro-wings.com.
