Many pilots, "new and old" friends met up, chatting, laughing, wanting to find out more.... It was a real nice meeting with the "scene". March 18, 2011 Andi Schreilechner is going to strengthen the team and finds back in his domestic region. Through his long-time experience in customer care and support of pilots and flight schools he will strengthen us mainly in this area. At the same time he will incorporate his long-time experience in flying and the knowledge within the industry and let it flow into the ICARO product line.
Andi to his move: „An ambitious, innovative and classy paragliding smithy, in the middle of the domestic mountains - this is exactly what I have always looked for.“ We are looking forward to the addition in our team and to a long and successful collaboration .... and as always: „keeping the pilot in mind.“

ICARO paragliders active in promoting the paragliding sport to young people
November 15, 2010 On November, 11th 25 students and 2 teachers from the state trade school for media careers from Munich came to ICARO paragliders in Flintsbach. The aim was to introduce the paragliding sport to the youth aged between 20 and 25 years and to introduce the company in a way that the students can write their final tests on the subject “preparation of an industry drawn marketing concept”. Wolfgang Kaiser and the team presented the company policy, the marketing and distribution concept, an introduction to the paragliding sport and product information. All participants were interested and enjoyed a completely new topic. Various films were shown to enforce and explain the spoken word in a tangible way. In the beginning of December the final written tests will be evaluated by the teachers of the school and by two employees of the company. On the part of ICARO paragliders the students of the winning team will be rewarded with a paragliding trail weekend at the flight school “Hochries”....

We are back from Coupe Icare
September 21, 2010 Despite the bad weather the exhibition was a great success. Many pilots were very interesed in our company and our products. This was our aim: Show the French pilots what we have to offer. As usual the exhibtion was accompanied by typical French fun events. Only on Sunday we got some better weather and everyone made the most of it and got up in the air while they could. Thank you to all visitors who we all welcomed at our stand and made this exhibition very special for us.

Acro Worldcup 2010 "Zell am See" Austria
July 28, 2010 At the beginning of the Acro Worldcup Season 2010 the 45 best pilots from over 15 nations met up to measure their skills in the Acro Solo event. This event was thelocal Austrian championships in Acro at the same time. Right from the beginning Xandi Meschuh was at the front with his Nikita and managed to keep up with the fierce competition of the Spanish, French, Argentinian and Hungarian pilots. Because of changeable weather conditions and not enough height over water Xandi didn't manage to climb up the winning podest this time. He finished in 6th place.At the Austrian sate competition though Xandi managed to hold up the winning pokal four times! Congratulation for this achievement!

July 1, 2010 One TOP flight after the other. Werner Schütz - 1st place and Uli Strasser 3rd in the German OLC. Here you can find the comment of Werner after the heavy flights in Switzerland: "Hello Wolfgang, Uli and I made our last flights in Fiesch and we were very successful (nearly 750km and 40 flying hours in the first 4 days). We are sure that this is not possible with every glider but with our Mavericks - no problem. Maverick not only is perfect in performance - it is really top in security. I only want say to you - thank you for Maverick!".

Unbelievable - our "SUPERMEN"

We think it is sensational to fly a 220 kilometer triangle in 9 hours... We think this is SUPER!!! Joachim Herold has also proved with his flight over 199 Kilometer that he can measure himself with the big boys and is starting to catch up. Congratulations for this achievement! We are celebrating our 10th anniversary and we would like to celebrate with YOU! On the 21st August 2010 we are launching a big party in Kössen/Austria at the well known "Flying Bar". Please make a note of this big day - we would be very pleased to meet you there! A more detailed program will be given to you shortly but the most important is that we are spending a nice day together, flying, eating, drinking, meeting nice people, chatting, laughing and CELEBRATE. Of course there will be a big birthday surprise.(The cake on the picture was given to us by a dear customer and friend when we first launched the new logo. Herbert, thank you again!)

The run for the lead in the German OLC continues. Werner Schütz approaches the lead with rapid strides. With his 198.3 km FAI triangle last Monday he came even closer to this aim. Congratulaions to Werner - keep going! Also Uli Strasser was able to improve and now comes in 6th place.

Days are getting warmer, xc pilots hunting for first xc points for the OLC in Bassano. Uli allows himself a flat triangle of 80.2 km in warm north Italy. Who wants to follow him and fly Uli's path can find it here.Also with the brand new WILDCAT first 50 km routes were flown in Slowenia. And collecting kilometers with the WILDCAT pays off in 2010. More we will reveal here in the next news and in the next issue of THERMIK-Magazin.

Finally there comes spring. Awakened from hibernation the paraglider scene meets in Easter in Bassano to the Expo Monte Grappa or the the Trofeo Monte Grappa (who takes part in the competition). In the warm north Italy flowers will already sprout and numerous pilots will be the air flying thermals or going cross-country. To whom in the air is too crowdy, strolls comfortably over the exhibition area in the landing field of the Garden Relais, consults to new paraglider models, harnesses and flight equipment, shops one or other T-shirt, enjoys the fragrant grill meat of the resident club and a cappuchino with Silvia's. Appetite get? We indeed yes. And therefore, are represented on the fair and have the top actual paraglider models as a tester for you, especially also the WILDCAT.
